Orlando garage storage company, Garage Design Works, recently participated in an episode of Designing Spaces’ Military Makeover TV series to help a wounded warrior. Designing Spaces, a home improvement show, called a group of volunteers and sponsors together to give back to Robert Keefe of Okeechobee, Florida.

Robert Keefe was nominated for a home makeover by the Wounded Warrior Chapter of South Florida in appreciation for his military service.

Robert served in the Marine Corps from 2001 through 2012. In 2010, he was stationed in Afghanistan running convoys. One day in 2012, his truck ran over an explosive, and he suffered a broken back and a traumatic brain injury. In November of that year, he was medically discharged.

As a result of participating in the Military Makeover show, Keefe and his family received a home makeover. New kitchen cabinets and appliances, a new garage door, and a premier garage organizational system, donated and installed by Garage Design Works, were part of the home transformation.

“Garage Design Works installed their Premier Gladiator Cabinet System in my garage. It turned my mess of a garage into an amazing ‘man cave’. Now, I love tinkering around in there. Do you know they even gave me one of their small Gladiator refrigerators? I can work as long as I want in my ‘man cave’ without getting thirsty. I can’t believe this happened to me. It’s surreal. My wife, three kids, and I feel very blessed,” Robe
